Hi,
🙋 Asks:
- We are looking for more frontend engineers. Especially woman engineers. If you know a good place to find great candidates that’d be helpful.
🏋️ Here’s what happened at Rise:
- Cameron, our first hire, decided to move on from Rise. He felt Rise needs a stronger bred front-end engineer. Cam will finish some final things this week.
- We hired a great backend engineer. We are super excited to have him join Rise! We also made offer to another backend engineer. 🤞
- We got a response from Rise.com. It seems they are willing willing to open to a settlement and want us to draft a co-existence agreement.
- We are and will continue to focus more on hiring. We have got some good candidates from Gergely’s newsletter and sourcing on Twitter.
This quarter we’re tackling items that allow us to ramp up the number of teams using Rise. In order to do that we have been doing weekly live onboarding calls with new users and teams, and fixing all resulting issues as we spot them. Two big items on our list that we need to address: meeting room support, and support for Google groups in meetings. Our early teams love our scheduler and suggestions and are curious to try out AutoPilot, but we need to tackle these in order to scale up.
🌅 Product updates:
- Shipped sidebar. Users can now easily open colleagues calendars, book a meeting and switch calendars.
- Shipped first iteration of X-Ray. This helps us find meetings that can be optimised during the onboarding. Showing the value of Rise early.
- You can now reschedule events using our engine
- Shipped a new settings panel
- Built the first version of the Rise for Desktop app
- Improve saving logic and allow users to specify if they want to send attendees updates
